I am afraid.

Please find attached a plea of discomfort. I know of the injustices in the world, and I am too weary to fight them. My privilege affords me the ability to hide, and seek treatment for my own issues before those of others. I am afraid of my complicity in capitalism, and it haunts me, the thought of people suffering whilst I do nothing. I do believe that if I were to not protect my own health, I would be no help in any revolution whatsoever, but still, the thought haunts me all the same. One day I will have the capacity to fight back, and until then, this song will help me to unlatch the little hands that threaten to drag me down.
